Hey! Did you know that 320 million books end up in a landfill every year? This outstanding moral debt is what inspired the beginning of ‘The Books Barn’ Our mission is to rescue and pair pre-loved books with new partners.

Our Vision 

The Books Barn is setting out to be a cozy spot within the city for readers, independent creators and patrons of the arts to come together to break bread and share in their commonalities.

Our Values

Award-winning Japanese writer Murakami once said that, “If you only read books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking.” 

We speak to a community of curious book lovers who love a tangible, original and affordable find. This person is also involved in the care and preservation of our mother planet, Earth. The Books Barn carries a diverse collection of books that not only honors the authors that created them but also the environment that created them.
